Spicers Press Release
12th November 2007
Spicers and 3M working together
for children and young people fighting life-threatening
illnesses
With the target of £5,000 already achieved,
Spicers and 3M are celebrating the early success
of their charity fund-raising Post-it® Notes
promotion. Sales linked to the promotion will
benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK, the charity
that grants magical wishes to children and young
people fighting life-threatening illnesses. The
promotion runs to December 28.
“We had an initial target of £5,000,
but dealers have been so enthusiastic about this
promotion that we have reached our target with
seven weeks of the promotion still to run! If
the promotion-linked sales continue at this rate,
we are hoping to raise enough by Christmas to
help grant a wish to more than one child, which
would be fantastic,” explains Jamie Boomer,
Merchandising Manager at Spicers.
These sterling efforts are very much appreciated
by Make-A-Wish Foundation. Karen England, Director
of Fundraising said, “We are absolutely
thrilled at the response being shown to the 3M
and Spicers Post-it® Notes promotion. Make-A-Wish
hopes to grant around 600 magical wishes in 2008
and the support we receive from 3M and Spicers
will be a significant contribution towards this.”
3M is donating 50p for every special pack of
CanaryTM Yellow Post-it® Notes purchased.
As an extra incentive, each special pack has with
it a free limited edition pack of star-shaped
Post-it Notes.
