Spicers Press Release

1st November 2007

Win a smart car at SOS 2007

On 12 and 13 December 2007, the NEC in Birmingham will again play host to SOS, the office products show facilitated by Spicers and the biggest event of the OP industry calendar. With world-famous motivational speakers now confirmed, SOS 2007 promises to be the best ever SOS.

Win a smart car worth £10,000
For SOS 2007, dealers will have the chance to win a gorgeous smart car – a cherry red ‘fortwo’ pure cabriolet worth around £10,000. For a chance to win, dealers will need to complete a ‘log book’ by visiting the Big Reward stand and then half, or more, of the rest of the stands. The completed log books will go into the car and the lucky winner will be announced at the end of day two of the show.

Suppliers galore
Over 60 leading OP suppliers across all sectors will be exhibiting their latest products and innovations at SOS, making it the office solutions show not to be missed. Sectors will include EOS and Business Machines, Facilities Management, Writing Instruments, Paper, Storage and Filing, Office Environment, Adhesives and Tapes, Books and Pads and Desktop Products. Several systems houses specialising in OP, including BlueSky, ECi2, Heart Systems and Industry Software Ltd, will also be at the show. Among the big names exhibiting their newest product developments will be 3M, Acco UK, Bic, Brother UK, Canon UK, Esselte, Fellowes, John Dickinson, Sanford and Mitsubishi Pencils. The big news will be more exciting and innovative environmentally-friendly and ethically-traded products in a growing range of sectors.

Business Experience 2007
Over the two-day exhibition, delegates will be able to take part in the Business Experience – a selection of presentations from renowned speakers.

Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE is the world’s greatest living explorer. He will talk about his struggle with our planet’s most extreme elements and will draw parallels between his most difficult challenges and the real day-to-day business challenges faced by dealers.

Gordon Ramsay OBE will focus on dedication, passion and customer focus – skills that have taken him from apprentice footballer to head of a gastronomic empire with a string of Michelin stars.

Ruth Badger is the founder and Chief Executive of her own business consulting firm Ruth Badger Consulting and a well known business guru through her Sky One show Badger or Bust and a weekly column in First magazine.

“We have chosen a range of exciting and high profile speakers with both a business focus and wider expertise. They all have fascinating stories to tell and life experience to share that will be inspirational for anyone in business today,” explains David Coghill, who is leading the SOS team.

Showcasing Spicers’ Services
Along with the chance to find out what’s new for 2008, dealers will be able to take a closer look at Spicers’ e-commerce solutions - products that can save dealers time and money and generate high quality new business. Experts will be there to demonstrate OSCARnet, SPICERlinkweb, Spicervision, FliCKi and officerange.com. Spicers’ marketing team will also be on hand to talk about the wholesaler’s range of leading marketing solutions, including catalogues, mailers, Idesign bespoke publications and its online marketing tools - click-n-print and Office Mailbox.

A selection of the latest designs from Spicers’ phenomenal furniture range will also be on display at the show.
