DISCONTINUED LISTS - valid from April 1st 2008 to present day.

The enclosed files list all products which are contained in the current Spicerfile but are no longer available. The list is updated every Monday (except bank holidays) by 11.00a.m. and shows the date that a product was added to the list.

We recommend that dealers use this list to update their Systems to prevent orders being placed for unavailable products.

Two versions are available, an Excel version and a CSV version suitable for uploading to Progress Systems:
Right-Click on Link and select 'Save As....' to save file to hard disk instead of it opening in your Web Browser window (e.g. Internet Explorer 5.5)

Click here to download 118 Kb Excel version of Discontinued List updated 12th May 2008. This file now includes two extra columns to indicate a product alternative (by stock code and name) where available.

Instructions to Update Progress Systems with Discontinued Products
The attached file details the Spicers products which have been discontinued since the last Spicerfile release. This file may be used to update your Progress system product file as follows
Flagging products as Status at Supplier “X” (discontinued)

From any menu select option PCPIMP
At the prompt File Name enter SPIDELS.CSV
At the prompt Action enter A-mend

The screen will display the field headings for the product code and status.

At the prompt Option enter D-ata as titles

The field headings will move to the column headed Title and the first product code and status flag will be displayed.

At the prompt Option enter E-nd

The standard report options will be offered. When the update is complete a report will be produced listing any products which were not updated together with the reason.
