Spicers Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of DS Smith Plc, whose activities in addition to Spicers are in Paper and Corrugated Packaging and Plastic Packaging. DS Smith is an international Group with revenue in 2006/07 of £1,766 million and it employs over 11,000 people in 16 countries.

Spicers UK
Spicers is the UK’s largest wholesaler of general office products in Europe and the dominant player in the UK. We are an ISO9001:2000 and Investors in People accredited company.

Spicers Ireland
Spicers Ireland is the market leading office products wholesaler in the Republic of Ireland. Situated in Dublin, Spicers offers the Irish dealer a similar range of products and services to that offered by Spicers in the UK.

Spicers France
Spicers France is the largest wholesaler in that country. The business operates from seven distribution centres and has successfully developed its business with French dealers in the 1990s, in part due to its Calipage, Carip and Plein Ciel programmes. Whilst Spicers France shares the Group’s core competencies in purchasing, logistic and I.T. and provides total support to the dealer, its marketing programmes are tailored specifically to the French market and it operates very much as an independent national business.

Spicers Deutschland
Spicers Deutschland started deliveries to German dealers in the autumn of 1998. The business operates from two distribution centres in Hanover and Nuremberg, and provides 24 hours delivery service to the whole country.
As in France, the approach to the market is tailored to the needs of the local dealer and to the existing market structures.

Spicers Spain
Spicers Spain opened for business in Barcelona in May 2002, and has grown well since then, offering a wide range of office products to the whole of the Spanish market.

Spicers Italy
Spicers Italia opened for business in mid-November 2004, trading from an 11,000 square metre, purpose built warehouse and head office building at Castel San Giovanni, 50 kilometres south of Milan.

Also released at the beginning of November was the first Spicers Italia catalogue. Containing 12,000 product references the 672 page catalogue is the most comprehensive in Italy.
